This course grants students the opportunity to learn in a flexible way while digging deeply into relevant and specific areas of the Old Testament in order to gain an understanding of the foundational faith and scriptural matters that are of particular interest to Christianity. By necessity, the Bible Knowledge 2 - SBOD 102 is structured and taught thematically, as it generally follows both the chronological and canonical structure of the Old Testament. There's is much to cover in this course and it is possible, contrary to the thinking of many, to complete reading the entire Old Testament in a six-module course.
The purpose of this course is to introduce students to the tools, techniques, and background necessary for knowing, understanding, interpreting, and applying the Old Testament to everyday life, to facilitate the kingdom lifestyle pursuits. Moreover, the course prepares students to know and discuss intelligently the factual material in the Old Testament.
